Team
In 2014 Martin, together with two partners, founded Nexus Capital Advisors, a corporate finance- and transaction advisory boutique with a focus on German real estate.
Between 2003 and 2013 Martin has been with Cushman & Wakefield, has built up the German transaction advisory business and was responsible for the German Capital Markets and Valuation business. In 2007, he became one of the youngest equity partners of the business. During his tenure he focused on advising national and international clients on large scale transactions.
Before joining Cushman & Wakefield Martin started his career in 2000 working for a manage-ment consulting boutique where he advised financial institutions an strategy and risk management.
Martin holds a master degree in chemistry and a PhD.

Between 2004 and 2013 Matthias worked at Cushman & Wakefield’s Corporate Finance depart-ment, finally as a partner. Based in Frankfurt, he held responsibility for the advice of (inter-)national clients in real estate sales and acquisitions, the raising of equity and debt as well as valuation.
Prior to his time at C&W he was employed at Viterra Corporation’s business development de-partment (now Vonovia SE).
Matthias holds a diploma in urban planning from the Technical University of Dortmund and a degree in Real Estate Economics from International Real Estate Business School, Regensburg.
He is a Chartered Valuation Surveyor of RICS, London.
He has over 25 years of experience in direct and indirect real estate investing, fund management, alternative debt investments, banking, debt advisory, structuring of performing and re-structuring of distressed equity and debt investments, each for various types of asset classes.
Between 2013 and 2017 he headed the real estate business of ICG in Germany and was member of the investment committee. From 2007 to 2013 he headed the RBS German real estate equity and renting business. From 2003 to 2006 he was Head of Structured Debt Products within Asset Finance & Leasing at Deutsche Bank. Guido started his career in 1995 at Deutsche Immobilien Leasing.
Guido holds a Master’s degree in business and administration from the university of Cologne and an apprenticeship in banking.
